Louisville Slugger Z-1000 SB11ZE The new 2011 Z-1000 Slowpitch bat features the Inner Socket Technology (iST) that is designed to maintain handle stiffness while joining the barrel and handle together, providing players with a great solid feel and larger sweet spot. Vibration from a miss hit is absorbed before it reaches a player’s hands. Without the worry of sting or vibration from “off sweetspot hits” a player can maintain acceleration through impact for increased and more consistent performance. This bat is “Game Ready” from the time you take off the wrapper. The two inner discs are positioned inside the barrel at the sweet spot to stop the barrel from flexing past the performance limit, giving players maximum allowable performance. Precise positioning of iD within the barrel also allows us to bring up the performance around the sweet spot – which means you get a larger performing sweet spot, not just a better feeling one. Review:Across the board, our reviewers agreed the colors and easy-on-the-eyes graphics of the Louisville Slugger Z-1000/SB11ZE were "sweet." However, the bat's overall performance flat out overshadowed all other attributes.
"This bat is hands-down the top USSSA bat I have swung all year," said Freddie Tinajero.
"Our group was drilling line drives and bombs all throughout our hitting session. I was not completely sold on Louisville bats before, but Louisville has made me a true fan with this stick."
"The performance was outstanding and Louisville must be using "BMW" shock absorbers inside this bat as I felt absolutely no sting through two rounds of hitting," said Ernie Gerwick. With this new line of bats, it looks as if Louisville is hitting and exceeding their marks with their slow pitch bats.
