BatReviews.com ("we," "us") respects your privacy. This page explains what information is collected when you visit, how it's used, and the choices you have. The short version: we don't make you create an account, we don't sell your personal information, and we collect as little as possible.
Information we collect
We don't ask you to register or submit personal details to read the site. We do collect limited, standard analytics about how the site is used — like which pages are visited, the type of device and browser, and the general region a visit comes from — so we can see what's helpful and improve it. If you email us, we'll have whatever you choose to put in that message.
Analytics & cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic — like which pages are popular and what device types visit. It uses cookies and similar identifiers, which may include a shortened version of your IP address. Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser; you can block or delete them in your browser settings at any time, and the site will still work.
You can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites using Google's browser opt-out add-on. Separately, when you click an affiliate link, the retailer may set its own cookie under its own policy (see below).
Affiliate links
Some links on this site are affiliate links. When you click one, the retailer (for example Amazon or CheapBats) may set its own cookie to credit us if you make a purchase. That cookie is governed by their privacy policy, not ours. See our Affiliate Disclosure for the full picture.
Third parties
The services that may receive data through normal use of this site include Google (analytics), Cloudflare (analytics and hosting/security), and the retailers we link to when you click through. We don't sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone.
Children's privacy
Many of the bats we cover are for young players, but this site is written for the parents, coaches, and adults who buy them — it isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll remove it.
Your choices
You can control cookies through your browser, use the Google Analytics opt-out above, and enable "Do Not Track" or similar privacy settings. Because we don't collect accounts or profiles, there's no login data to manage.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves. When we do, we'll change the "last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected here.
