2022 Victus Vandal 2 USSSA Bat Review
The senior-league Vandal 2 takes Victus's distinctive VXP alloy barrel and carbon-composite end cap into USSSA travel ball. An ultra-balanced, low-MOI one-piece big barrel built for hitters who want speed and a huge sweet spot.

How we score ↗How big and forgiving the barrel is — based on barrel length, construction (one- vs two-piece, alloy vs composite), and how it plays on balls hit off the center. A primary driver of the overall score.
This bat: Ring-free VXP barrel with multi-variable walls runs a big sweet spot.
Raw exit velocity and distance. We use measured numbers from freely available independent testing when they exist; otherwise construction and consensus, judged against the certification’s performance ceiling. A primary driver of the overall score.
This bat: Low-MOI build trades raw mass for speed, so pop is good not huge.
Comfort and feedback on contact — vibration dampening from the knob/connection, the sting of a stiff one-piece vs a smooth two-piece, and the sound off the barrel. A primary driver of the overall score.
This bat: Soft-touch grip helps; the alloy-plus-composite-end feel is direct.
How well it holds up and how the company stands behind it — documented cracking/denting reports, cold-weather behavior, and the brand’s real warranty record. Good to know, but weighted lightly in the score.
This bat: One-piece VXP alloy holds up well across a travel-ball season.
Our take on price-for-performance — the overall package weighed against its cost and what comparable bats run. Shown for context; it is NOT factored into the overall score (price changes too often and is personal).
This bat: A fast, forgiving big barrel with a distinctive design at a fair price.
Why this score: The Vandal 2 senior-league is all about swing speed: the carbon-composite end cap gives it an outstanding low-MOI swing and a big sweet spot. It scores lower on power because that same low-MOI design intentionally minimizes mass behind the ball, the trade speed-first hitters happily make.
Our Review
The 2022 Victus Vandal 2 senior-league bat brings the brand's signature look and tech to USSSA travel ball: a one-piece design that uses VXP alloy in a ring-free barrel with multi-variable wall thickness, capped by a 2" carbon-composite barrel-end. That composite end is the trick, pulling mass out of the tip to create one of the lowest-MOI, fastest-swinging big barrels in the class. In the -10 it is ultra-balanced and quick through the zone, with a large sweet spot and a micro-perforated soft-touch grip on a pro-tapered handle for control. The flip side of that low-MOI design is minimal mass behind the ball, so hitters who generate power from a heavier feel may want a more end-loaded option, and the alloy-with-composite-end build feels busier than a full two-piece composite. For a speed-first travel-ball hitter, though, the Vandal 2 is a genuinely fast, forgiving bat.
