2026 Easton Ghost Unlimited Fastpitch Bat Review
The Easton Ghost is the gold standard of fastpitch, and the Ghost Unlimited is the best of the line — a Double Barrel two-piece composite with the smoothest feel and the biggest, most consistent pop in the category.
Same bat, lower price. The 2025 Ghost Unlimited is a very similar bat and usually sells for less → $450The Score
How we score ↗How big and forgiving the barrel is — based on barrel length, construction (one- vs two-piece, alloy vs composite), and how it plays on balls hit off the center. A primary driver of the overall score.
Raw exit velocity and distance. We use measured numbers from freely available independent testing when they exist; otherwise construction and consensus, judged against the certification’s performance ceiling. A primary driver of the overall score.
Comfort and feedback on contact — vibration dampening from the knob/connection, the sting of a stiff one-piece vs a smooth two-piece, and the sound off the barrel. A primary driver of the overall score.
How well it holds up and how the company stands behind it — documented cracking/denting reports, cold-weather behavior, and the brand’s real warranty record. Good to know, but weighted lightly in the score.
Our take on price-for-performance — the overall package weighed against its cost and what comparable bats run. Shown for context; it is NOT factored into the overall score (price changes too often and is personal).
Why this score: Nothing in fastpitch matches the Ghost for feel and pop, and the Unlimited is the top of that line — elite barrel performance with the dampened, dialed-in two-piece feel hitters chase. It's premium-priced, but it's the bat we'd put in any serious fastpitch hitter's hands first.
Our Review
The 2026 Ghost Unlimited is Easton's one-piece, all-composite fastpitch flagship, using Sonic Comp MAX for low barrel compression and a Double Barrel EXT design that adds a full inch of barrel for the largest hitting zone in the Ghost line. It plays hot with minimal break-in and stays balanced, which makes it a fit for slappers, contact hitters and developing power bats alike. The one-piece feel is stiff and direct rather than the flexier two-piece Ghost sensation some players prefer. At $499.99 it is one of the most expensive fastpitch bats sold, and Ghost durability history means the conservative long-term marks are deserved until proven otherwise.
