Why this score: Scored within the entry-level ceiling we apply to all budget non-wood bats — no sub-$175 alloy can score with the flagships, and pretending otherwise would mislead buyers. Within its class it's a fair, sturdy league bat; the brand's warranty-service record tempers durability slightly.

Our Review

The USA-stamp Omaha keeps the old Omaha promise the BBCOR version left behind: a simple, affordable one-piece alloy for league play. The Performance ST7 alloy barrel swings balanced at -10, a TMD damper takes the worst of the sting out, and at $119.99 it's priced for families buying a first or second real bat. Entry alloys at this price all live under the same performance ceiling — the USA standard plays cool to begin with, and budget walls can't match the composite flagships — so the buying question is durability and fit, not exit velo. On fit it does fine. On durability, a one-piece alloy is the sturdy choice at this level, moderated by this maker's slower-than-average warranty service if something does go wrong. A sensible rec-ball buy; travel-bound players will outgrow it quickly.
