The 2024 Echo Connect DMND is Marucci's two-piece, all-composite fastpitch flagship, using MDX MAX multi-directional composite for an ultra-responsive barrel and a great sound at contact. What sets it apart is the Outer-Locking System (OLS), which attaches the barrel to the handle from the outside in to create one of the stiffest, most stable connections in fastpitch - the result is a slightly end-loaded, powerful feel that stronger and more advanced hitters tend to love. It is hot with modest break-in and the build quality is excellent. The trade-offs: the loaded profile and stiff connection are less forgiving for slappers and developing contact hitters who want a lighter, flexier swing, and the $399.99 list is premium.
