Why this score: A powerful, stiff two-piece with a slight end load that rewards stronger hitters, and it sells well below list. Swing weight scores lower for contact-style hitters who prefer a balanced feel.

Our Review

Marucci's 2025 Echo Connect DMND2 pairs the responsive MDX MAX composite barrel with a carbon handle through the Outer-Locking System, which stiffens the connection and cuts vibration for a solid, seamless swing. Unlike the more balanced base Echo, the Connect carries a slightly end-loaded feel that adds momentum for power-oriented hitters who want more mass behind the ball. It is fully certified across USSSA, USA, NSA, ISA and WBSC, and the micro-perforated grip is a nice touch. The end-load suits stronger hitters more than contact or speed players, and it benefits from break-in like other premium composites, but it discounts aggressively which makes it a strong buy on sale.

Also worth a look: Easton Ghost Unlimited — our top fastpitch pick — the benchmark for feel and pop.
